The Reefs
One of Bermuda’s finest resort properties, The Reefs has been welcoming guests since 1947 with the traditional hospitality for which the island destination has long been famous. Crowning a cliff and overlooking its own private pink sand beach and the turquoise waters that surround Bermuda, The Reefs is in the Southampton parish on the South Shore of the island. Lush tropical flowers – hibiscus, oleander and bougainvillea – cascade down the salmon pink-and-white property. An intimate resort with only 65 guest rooms – including seven Cottage Suites on the grounds – the atmosphere is relaxing and the service welcoming. One of the resort’s most notable features – and a reason guests return year after year – is its dedicated staff. Several staff members have been with The Reefs for more than 20 years.
Besides its private beach, The Reefs has a clifftop freshwater infinity pool. The Reefs is justly famous for its cuisine and its restaurants attract visitors and Bermudians alike. It is the island’s only small resort hotel with three dining venues during the season. Couples can also opt for a romantic dinner served on the beach.
For those for whom exercise and sports are a key part of a holiday experience, you will also find two hard-court tennis courts with complimentary racquets and balls (you don't even have to pack your own). The fitness centre features stair climbers, stationary bikes, treadmill, weights, and Cybex exercise equipment.
La Serena, meaning "serenity" is a full service spa centre and is indicative of the experience The Reefs seeks to provide for guests and Bermudians. Offering the only authentic traditional Thai massage available in Bermuda, La Serena also provides a full complement of luxury spa services ranging from reflexology to facials.
The Reefs has three distinctive and exciting restaurants, each featuring differing menus. Grill 56, for smart casual indoor dining with fabulous Sunday Brunches and dining under the stars in the Conservatory, Coconuts On The Beach for an eclectic menu in a treehouse atmosphere or Ocean Echo Terrace, for alfresco dining with a spectacular view.
